Directions from Holgate to our York base
Holgate is one of the closest neighbourhoods to our Fenwick Street base. That does not make every street easy. Holgate Road carries station and city traffic. Side streets of terraces park nose to tail by early evening. Houses towards West Bank Park may have a drive, while railway-side streets can leave only a short legal stop.
Tell us about bay windows, shared alleys and whether a ResPark zone covers the kerb. City of York Council parking permits and temporary suspensions need arranging before moving day. We plan the stop from 14 Fenwick Street, York YO23 1JR, so the van arrives with the right size crew and a clear idea of the carry.
Most Holgate postcodes are YO24. Insurance is provided. Ask what is covered when you book. Flats above shops or near the station need lift and stair notes. Student rooms and smaller loads often suit man and van. A full house move needs the inventory and any loft or shed clearance listed early.
West Bank Park off Acomb Road is a local landmark and a Green Flag park. York station on Station Road is close enough that peak rail times thicken the roads. For wifi while broadband is set up, Acomb Explore or York Explore are the practical library options. If you are moving towards Acomb or Woodthorpe on the same day, we can plan both ends from the same base.
Useful contacts on this page cover City of York Council, parking permits, North Yorkshire Police, York Hospital and local libraries or parks. Use those official links for bins, school places and tip bookings. For the move itself, call 01904599132 and we will talk through the load, the van size and the best time to start from Fenwick Street.
When you request a quote, include both postcodes, the property type, and any access notes such as stairs, lifts, narrow lanes or ResPark bays. We work from 14 Fenwick Street, York YO23 1JR, and we are open Monday to Sunday, 24 hours. A clear brief on the day you call helps us send the right van and crew without guessing on the kerb.
See house removals or flat removals. We also cover South Bank, Woodthorpe and Acomb. Call 01904599132 for a free quote.

Moving in Holgate: common questions
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Sunday, 24 hours, from 00:00 to 23:59. Call 01904599132 any time for a free quote.
Is Fenwick Street close to Holgate?
Yes. Our base at 14 Fenwick Street is on the South Bank side of the city, roughly a mile from much of Holgate. The short distance still leaves Holgate Road parking and terrace access to plan.
Do station peak times affect Holgate Road?
Holgate Road and the station approaches are busier when trains arrive and when the city centre fills. An earlier load often means a quieter kerb.
